Board of Directors

The Stratmoor Hills Fire Protection District was established in 1960 in response to the significant growth of the community and the related emergency concerns of our citizens. Since its inception, the District has grown from an all-volunteer department, operating from a small garage with used equipment, to a combination paid and volunteer organization operating out of a centrally located fire station equipped with modern fire apparatus. The District is governed by a five-member Board of Directors. All activities of the Board are conducted in compliance with laws of the State of Colorado. Specifically, we are governed by the Colorado Revised Statutes, Title 32, Special District Act. Our Board consists of five members, which must comply with all applicable Colorado laws. Directors are elected to staggered four-year terms and are allowed to serve two consecutive terms.
